Former Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba is the target of online jokes after his successor Raphael Bita Wanjala referred to him as a mere commoner.
The jab by Wanjala took twitter in a spin as Kenyans reacted to the swipe in humour as to how the fortunes of the once vocal Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) general had changed.

The onslaught by Wanjala started after he referred to Ababu as a ‘Budalang’i resident’ in a facebook post where the current MP had posed alongside other leaders; Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong and Water CS Eugene Wamalwa.
“Earlier today I together with Busia county Governor His Excellency Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong attended the signing of KES 10 billion Lower Nzoia irrigation project phase 1 in Busia County with Sino Hydro Corp Ltd at Maji house.
“The function was hosted by water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa. With us is a Budalangi resident Mr Ababu Namwamba,” posted Wanjala
By the time of this publication, the post had elicited over 1000 reactions with the ‘Budalangi resident’ part forming a huge junk of the discussion.
