A Kenyan woman is under fire after she posted photos of herself posing with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga at the Park Hyatt hotel in Zanzibar.
The photos that first emerged on Facebook posted by Sasha Seraphine Mbote, an hotelier in the Tanzanian island, immediately drew sharp reactions as Kenyans commented on the issue.
Mbote’s caption that read "I celebrated Zimbabwe with Baba," perhaps a reference to the resignation of Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe, set tongues wagging with her post getting flooded with comments.
Some stated that it was cheap publicity stunt to market her business.
Odinga is in the island after jetting out of the country over the weekend soon after arriving from the United States where he had gone on a 10 day visit where he met policy makers and leaders.
Salim Lone, Odinga’s log time advisor, had told the New York Times that his boss was pushed out of the country due to unrest.
