M-Pesa services will not be available for more than 10 hours this weekend as mobile service provider Safaricom carries out a system upgrade.
The upgrade, the telco said in a statement yesterday, will commence on Saturday at 10pm and end on Sunday at 11am.
“Safaricom has put in place measures to ensure a smooth transition during the upgrade, which will provide our customers and partners with more features and capabilities in the future,” said Chief Executive Bob Collymore.
