Seven students have died and 16 hospitalized with two in critical condition after a fire razed a dormitory at Moi Girls Nairobi.
Speaking at the school grounds, Education CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i said that they were seeking the answers to what could have caused the fire.
It is reported that the fire started at around 2am Saturday.
Matiang’i said it was unfortunate that students have been lost in the incident. “The President has directed that no security agency leaves the compound before we get any answers.” Said Matiang’i.
Matiang’i was accompanied by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who sent his condolences to families of who lost their loved ones.
