American popstar, Jay Z has video Lupita Nyong’o in his latest music video The music video, Many Faced God, has been released to the public on YouTube Lupita features in the video by giving an interpretive dance that shows a relationship that is broken and later mended

 

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o stars in Jay-Z’s music video of Many Faced God released to the public on YouTube. The video had been exclusively released to Tidal a week earlier on Friday 11th.

Many Faced God features James Blake and is a bonus track off his latest album “4:44”

The first time Jay took note of Lupita, he mentioned her in his We Made It freestyle in 2015.

The video is emotional and quirky and is about finding yourself. The opening words of the video are “our external reality is an opportunity to heal our internal upset,” gives it away.

The black and white video has the 12 years a Slave actress give a choreographed emotional interpretive dance showing a broken relationship that is later mended.

The video is a combination of works from different talented artists to make the short film by Francesco Carrozzini. Others being Loic Mabanza, Chaka Pilgrim and Inga Veronique.

In the outro, Lupita recounts a line from The 13th Century Persian by Rumi.
