
Former Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission chair Bethuel Kiplagat has died aged 81.
Bethuel Abdu Kiplagat died at The Nairobi Hospital Friday morning after long illness.
The one time Ambassador, will be remembered for steering the controversial Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission report.
He served as Kenya’s Ambassador to France and the United Kingdom and was Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Kenya as well.

His death comes at a time that Kenya is clouded in mourning following death of several prominent individuals.
Just yesterday, two separate memorial services for former Laikipia Senator GG kariuki and that of Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery were held in Nairobi.
This week as well, former powerful minister in former president Daniel Moi’s government Nicholas Biwott passed on.
