Family no more: The Fate of the Furious thrill as family ties break

News
Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel)  goes rogue

In the Fate of the Furious, the eighth sequel of the Fast and Furious franchise, things get thick and family ties are at stake. The gang comes together to save the world from Cipher (Charlize Theron) a criminal mastermind who in the worst possible turn of events lays her hands on nuclear launch codes.

The gang is as well on another mission: To save Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) infant child, who’s a key subject of the plot as he is used by Cipher, the criminal mastermind to manipulate Dominic. She is successful.

Dominic goes rogue, slamming Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) of the road before taking off with EMP, a wanted cyber-attack weapon.

The power and technology of vehicles, the use of a sub-marine and the snow-battle set-up gives some adrenaline hype like you have never seen before.

How thrilling was the Fate of The Furious?

Moreover, the thrill of speed, the action and stunt sequence has been taken a notch higher, as Ian (Jason Statham) and a hilarious Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) break hell loose in a maximum prison. There is indeed no shortage of muscle battling for alpha-male supremacy.

The action that follows is thrilling and nerve wrecking as the two alphas battle their way through the prisoners and prison warders thirsty to square out one on one.

It is Jason Statham who eventually comes out heroic at end as he fights off enemies on a plane while entertaining a baby who’s all smily in a baby carrier. The result is a hilarious masterpiece that comes with a British accent.

You have to acknowledge Roman (Tyrese Gibson) who offers a good comic relief as he brings up unnecessary, silly statements in middle of serious and sometimes dangerous situations.

However, the introduction of new character, Scott Eastwood, a Mr. Nobody , besides being a punching bag of ridicule in conversations doesn’t really do much to the plot of the Fast 8.

I would nonetheless recommend this movie anytime as the concoction of thrilling automobile sequence, muscle-puffed men and a beautiful villain come together to create the Fate of The Furious.
