A Madrid police source told Europa Press that the ex-Portugal international's home was ransacked by thieves who took luxury watches and other items of jewellery.

Figo reported the incident to a police station in Hortaleza and an investigation is now underway.

It is the second time Figo's house has been robbed, following an incident in 2003 when three armed men broke into his home and looted several valuables.
