Actress Nini Wacera and singer Kaz who co-host the spread podcast have vowed to defy ‘orders’ by KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua who had called out for the show to be investigated last month to determine whether the necessary regulations were followed.
The KFCB boss was up in arms for what he claimed was to be ‘Kenya’s first lesbian TV show hosted by two popular lesbian celebrities.’
The podcasts recorded and produced at ‘What’s Good Network’ were ‘dropped’ after the company’s Editor in chief Lilo Ponder responded that the network will not be continuing the show.
However, Nini and Kaz came out on The Trend last Friday to proclaim that the network did not drop them but they opted out after they came to the realization that they were not mutually benefitting each other.
The two stood up for their sex positive podcasts and vowed not to give up asking Ezekiel Mutua to do what he may and as far as they were concerned none of them had been contacted as with regards to any investigations
Ezekiel Mutua had cracked his whip on the show in a statement by the board posted on their Facebook page read which read in part;
‘’While the board is carrying out investigations to establish whether the programme was ever produced and whether the regulations guiding content production and distribution of film content meant for public exhibition were followed, the Board has established that the production was set to be distributed on WGNTV, a global video on demand service with a presence in Kenya’s cyber space. If investigations reveal contraventions of established regulations, KFCB will take a firm action against the producers and distributors of the programme in line with the law.’’
