Fans will be in for a serious jazz treat as South African music maestro Hugh Masekela takes to the stage for the much awaited Jazz festival. The 77 year old who has been in the country before will for the first time serenade fans with his legendary music which has gotten him nominated for Grammy awards twice.
‘’It will be exciting to perform for the emerging Jazz community in Kenya, which is slowly building a reputation as a notable addition to the continent’s jazz circuit.’’ He said.
And like the previous festivals, all proceeds from the August 12th festival ticket sales will go to support over 500 children in Korogocho under the Ghetto classics.
