Popular Churchill show comedian Mc Jesse is admired by many of his Kenyan fans for cracking ribs and hosting the Churchill raw show. From the fan’s perspective, he seems to have it all, but that was not always the case.
The comedian cum radio host recently made revelations about his past life and the struggle he had while living in Ngara as hustled make ends meet.
In an interview with KTN, Mc Jesse opened up about his humble beginnings in Meru County including how he struggled as a jobless comedian for sometime before his big break came through. During his bleak years, Jesse could not even afford to pay rent and had to be housed by some women in Ngara who he said he will always live to thank all his life.
According to the top rated comedian, the ladies treated him like their own brother during his stay with them but was forced to move from the house, after they thought he was getting paid to perform comedy skits at Winners Chapel then.
Upon moving out from the Ngara residence where he was being housed, life proved hectic for him as he wasn’t even able to pay the Ksh 1500 for rent and was kicked out and the room was turned into an M-Pesa shop by the landlord.
It was in the quest to make ends meet that he landed his initial job on Churchill’s show after which he rose to become a renowned comic brand in Kenya.
