Signs are that Tanzanian foremost rapper Professor Jay could land a major political appointment once he wins his bid of becoming Mikuni MP in this year's General Election in Tanzania. With a win in sight following the huge force he commands, the celebrated star told our sources in Tanzanian that as much as his focus is on capturing the parliamentary seat, he trusts that his sponsor party, Chama cha Mapinduzi, will win big and eventually offer him a major post in government.
"Let's not get the priorities wrong. I am doing my campaigns so that I can represent the Mikuni people well. I am not just here to speak for artistes but the Mikuni people I will be representing. After this, I look forward to getting a government appointment to represent my people better...probably a ministerial position or something...That way, I will be the first EA rapper/minister," our source, a Tanzanian journalist quoted Professor Jay as saying.
