By Sheila Kimani (@sheilakimm)

Kenya’s favorite band Sauti Sol are relentless on their quest to put Kenyan on the global platform and perhaps for this upcoming awards, Kenyans should do all it takes to vote and help them bring this next award home!

Shortly after losing out at the BET Awards as Best International Act BET and the MAMA’S as Best group and Song of the year, the quest is still on as Sauti Sol stands yet another a high chance at winning in this next awards thanks to 3 nominations as Best African Group, Best Dance in a Video - Lipala  and Song of the year - Sura Yako.

Remember how hard P-Square duo gave them a shout out during the MAMAs Awards congratulating them for their impressive work, Sauti Sol have been nominated yet again for the African Muzik Magazine Awards which seeks to award African music's stars. In appreciation, Sauti Sol said;

“Thank you African Muzik Magazine Awards #afrimma2015 for the nominations.

1. Best African Group

2. Best Dance in a Video - Lipala

3. Song of the year - Sura Yako

To vote for us, Follow the link on @afrimma 's bio.”

The awards are set to be held on August 10th in Dallas, Texas, USA where Uganda’s Anne Kansiime and Nigeria’s Basket Mouth will be the hosts.

Impressively, they are not the only Kenyans nominated as other artistes like Jaguar, Octopizzo, Sauti Sol, Willy Paul, STL, Victoria Kimani and DJ Shinsk feature primly in the various categories.

Hopefully Kenyans shall wake up to Victoria Kimani’s words, support their own and help bring the awards home.
