I first came to Nairobi in the early 2000. I had heard so much about the city. From the attraction of the national parks to the warm, friendly residents, I was instantly drawn in by the city. I found the name Nairobi quite unique and beautiful.
On my first day, I visited Maasai Mara. My God! The place was simply out of this world. You know those places you visit and you don’t want to leave? That was the feeling. I fell in love with the place.
I remember performing in the evening as the sun went down and some deers peeped into the dome. It was beautiful.
One thing I noticed about Nairobi is that it was similar to Cape Town, hence, I did not have any culture shock. One striking thing was the beautiful women.
My! My! Nairobi women are natural beauties. No make-ups. No extensions. They give African beauty a totally different meaning!
I think they motivate me to visit Kenya more regularly!
