Philanthropic millionaire Gor Semelang’o has warned that the new rules set to determine who vies for the Football Kenya of Federation (FKF) presidential position are customised to block him from vying for the seat.
“Those are village rules. All rules that have to do with FKF are usually in line with FIFA regulations. What we are hearing now has nothing to do with that,” Gor said as he addressed a group of FKF members in Machakos yesterday.
“He is scared of the petro-dollar. We warn him that his time is up. To avoid embarrassment, he should just leave in peace,” Gor, who now runs a chain of oil and transport companies across Africa, added.
Last week, FKF announced new rules that may block most of the hopefuls who want to run for a number of positions in the coming elections, a move seen as strategically made to shield Nyamweya from his anticipated exit.
