Curvy women look salacious! That’s something I would like to admit and probably many more men would.

Who can deny rave reviews Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and our very own Vera Sidika have received from menfolk?

It turns out that they don’t just possess the hour glass shape for nothing: they are smarter, live longer and give birth to smarter children, according to a study by researchers from University of California and University of Pittsburgh.

The scientists have found that women with curvier bodies tend to have a higher IQ compared to women who have straight or round bodies.

They also appear to have more intelligent children according to the study that took place between 1984 and 1994.

The body shape associated with intelligence is described as consisting of larger hips and considerably thinner waist.

The scientists explain in the official document of the research, published in the journal of Evolution and Human Behavior that curvy women have more Omega-3 fatty acid, a chemical stored in their bodies and which is extremely necessary for the proper growth of the baby’s brain during pregnancy.

The study also found upper-body fat to have a negative effect on the supply of fatty acids which are essential for the neurodevelopment while lower-body is found to be beneficial.

Therefore, scientists claim that the waist-hip ration can give significant indications regarding women’s cognitive abilities as well as their children’s.

The scientists used data from a study of 16,000 women and girls, analyzing details of their body measurements and their scores in cognitive tests.  They found that women with a greater difference between the waist and hips scored significantly higher on the tests.

Thinner or linear-shaped women lack both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids around their waists and hips, which would be likely to boost longevity, but have little effect on intelligence.

The important factor to watch out for, according to the researcher’s findings, is waist-to-hip ratio.

Waists that were about 70 percent of the diameter of their hips scored slightly better on intelligence tests and tended to have a slightly higher level of education than women with a higher waist-to-hip ratio.

So, you want your baby to possess an IQ comparable to Einstein’s?

This must be an option to consider.
