Ruto's son in bush for adult studies

Heads Up
     William Ruto's family

Deputy President William Ruto will not let Hague issues hinder his children from passing through important stages in life.

Weeks ago, his daughter June was spotted at The Hague exploiting her talent in photography rather than just idling around.

Last weekend (November 22-24), Ruto’s youngest son joined 65 other age mates in a circumcision ritual.

Ruto Junior is now in a bush around Kitengela, where as per Kalenjin tradition he will stay for four weeks until he heals completely.

He is now referred to as ‘tarusiat’ (recently cut).

The young boy has had to abandon his five-star lifestyle and wear sackcloth in the cold bush as per Kalenjin traditions.

Our source says he has also applied himself a special kind of white soil as part of Kalenjin customs.

“We preferred Kitengela to Uasin Gishu because we realised that most people have settled in Nairobi,” a source told Heads Up.

Other prominent personalities who sent their children to Kitengela bush with Ruto’s son include Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto’.

Moroto is also said to live in Kitengela’s Milimani estate.

When the young men ‘graduate’ to adulthood after the four weeks, there will be a big party that may involve the slaughter of several bulls. Heads Up is yet to receive an invite.
