Did Angela Angwenyi skip P-Square’s wedding?

Heads Up
              Easy FM's Angela Angwenyi

Easy FM Presenter Angela Angwenyi could have been the only Kenyan invited for Peter Okoye, one half of the mega Afro-pop group P-Square’s wedding.

Peter Okoye was getting hitched to his long-term sweetheart Lola Omotayo in a traditional wedding on Sunday at the Ark event centre in Lekki, Lagos.

When Heads Up reached Angela to find out whether she indeed was invited the wedding, the chocolate city Kenyan rep, laughed heartily at our question before finally letting out a “no comment” response.

Angela said that she was too busy to travel to Lagos.

“I have been very busy preparing with Victoria Kimani for the Channel O awards in South Africa. In fact I’m at the Embassy as we speak,” Angela told Heads Up.

Angela’s relationship with the Naija showbiz community has been steady ever since she started working with Chocolate City record label as their East African representative. She also manages Victoria Kimani who is currently signed to Chocolate city.

Apart from Angela, Nigerian Promoter, Ikwechuku Anoke (Ike) of Taurus group was also invited but could not make it.

“I had travelled to Lagos a week before for another wedding. I just sent them a little gift and wished them all the best,” Ike told Heads Up.

Other known superstars in attendance included Tanzania’s Diamond and Togo footballer Emmanuel Adebayor who was also the best man.
