After years of speculation, Avril has finally addressed rumours about her alleged relationship with Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platinumz.
Speaking during an interview with Planet, she claimed that Diamond was just a friend.
“Diamond is a good friend whom I have known for quite sometime,” she said. Rumours about their relationship emerged after Avril featured on Diamond’s Video for the song, Kesho.
Avril said they were working on projects and there was nothing more to their friendship.
She praised Diamond as a hard worker and that she found him interesting when they worked together.
Avril is now engaged to a South African businessman while Diamond is married to Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.
The couple has a daughter, Lattifah Dangote.
