A 46 -year-old man was arraigned in court after he was allegedly found with 25 rolls of bhang.
Police said they arrested Ibrahim Mutuku with bhang valued at Sh500 on September 5 in Nairobi’s Highrise estate.
The suspect however stunned the court after he described himself as the ‘professor’ of weed, but denied being a bhang peddler.
Police said they arrested Mutuku for peddling bhang after they were tipped off by the public.
The court heard that he denied police access to his house, claiming he was a harmless bhang smoker.
Police however forced their way into the house where they allegedly found rolls of bhang leading to his arrest.
Mutuku however denied the charge of peddling bhang, but admitted that he often smoked weed because it makes him happy.
The court granted him a personal bond of Sh50,000. The case will be heard on December 4.
