Controversial Nigerian preacher, Pastor Chris Ojigbani, has a message for single women in Nairobi.
The preacher who has been nicknamed ‘Apostle of Marriages’ has asked singles to stop waiting on God to get them the right man, at their convenience.
According to him, single women in Nairobi need the right teaching, not just seating and waiting for a miracle.
“Whenever I hold seminars, people marry easily, mainly because they learn the right doctrines that help them. These teachings are also important in fostering happy in marriages,”he told The Nairobian.
“If for instance a man has been waiting for God to tell him who to marry, and he attends my seminar and learns that God doesn’t choose a wife, the teachings will help him choose one himself and marry easily”.
The preacher denied claims that his charges are exorbitant, says:
“I focus on teaching and not prayers. We pray at our seminars but the emphasis is on knowledge, which comes via teaching. And I have never charged for the teachings or prayers.”
Asked when Kenyans should expect, he promised that, “I may come to Kenya next year.”
Ojigbani first visited Nairobi in September 2010 during a much-publicised tour that was expected to help thousands of single women in the city find husbands.
On a flyer issued at the conference, Pastor Ojigbani stated that, “God commissioned me to liberate marriages through preaching the word”.
His ministry, he says, is not a church, but a non-denominational ministry that has transformed millions of lives.
On his last visit to the country a year later, he told the single women that he had the ‘right knowledge for singles’.
He later blamed the Press for the low turnout of Kenyans for misreporting his previous find-a-husband day of prayer which took place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
