A man and a woman found themselves in a Mavoko court for allegedly stealing drugs worth Sh169,310 from a chemist. The suspects, Boniface Wanambisi and Mercy Mwende, were reportedly employed to work at the chemist allegedly owned by Aska Cheruto, wife to Endebess MP Dr Robert Pukose.
The two, according to the charge sheet, committed the offence between July 1 and October 30.
The drugs included 50 packets of Postinor 2 emergency pills and 200 packets of Femiplan pills. In total, there were 45 different drugs allegedly taken from the chemist.
The suspects were arrested on October 31 in Mlolongo area.
The two however denied the charges and were remanded until January 2016.
