A matatu preacher along the Nairobi-Machakos route was ejected by angry passengers who complained about his ‘condom sermon’.
Pastor Simon was forced to alight at the Machakos – Mombasa Road junction after rebuking those who did not give him ‘something’ for blessing their journey.
The preacher further gave an elderly woman a dress-down for talking on the phone while he was preaching.
“It is sad that some people refuse to bless men of God to spread the Word and they are not ashamed of buying condoms in supermarkets and shops,” said the pastor, who was met with murmurs before the angry passengers forced him out of the matatu.
“It is disrespectful for preachers to insult people when they don’t get cash from them,” one of the passengers told The Nairobian.
