Muhoroni Member of Parliament James Onyango K’oyoo has dismissed allegations that he dates female high school principals from his constituency.
K’oyoo explained that the rumour started when he started implementing infrastructural development in girls’ schools in his area. With the legislator’s frequent visits and harambees in Koru Girls and Achego Girls’ High Schools, he said the opponents argued that he was paying back to the schools due to his love relationship with the head teachers.
“I recently did harambee at Achego Girls’ High School and I hear the rumour mongers talking all manner of things. Development in education is one of my strong pillars and I will continue supporting all schools. Currently I am negotiating for a major development in Muhoroni High School and I do all that because I value education,” he said, adding that the the opponents have been tracing his movements within the constituency and looking for a way to taint his name ahead of the 2017 general election.
He was speaking in Chemilil during a function in which he gavwe Sh17.1 million bursary to over 1, 200 secondary and college students.
