Pulse: They call you the Don. You own the beast...
KRG: Being the Don you have to own a big machine, so I own the beast. It is a 2013 Chrysler.
P: How much did it cost you?
KRG: Close to Sh8 million. I imported it in October 2013. That was a serious fortune though.
P: Why the beast?
KRG: It’s a beast in all aspects of road matters, it picks up close to 100km/h in five to 10 seconds. Its emergency brakes are quite good and one can pull any stunt anytime.
P: What’s the craziest stunt you’ve pulled so far?
KRG: I’m a car enthusiast and stunts are something I try all the time; the 360-degrees spin at 100 km/h is one. It felt good but still safe, I mean with 16 air bags, who wouldn’t feel safe?
P: Why do you adore your beast so much?
KRG: He is my last born in a family of 30 and his speed of 260 km/h and stability is amazing.
P: You say ‘he’...
KRG: Yes, his colour and body shape...He rules the highway.
P: What else makes the car special?
KRG: As an artiste, the music system works for me. The car has a surround system fixed by Boston Audio Premium. It is valued at Sh250,000.
P: If you were to give the car a female singer’s name, what name would that be?
KRG: Nicki Minaj, for the no-nonsense attitude.
P: Tell us about its maintenance...
KRG: Let’s just say you need money to keep a wife in good shape.
