The Star Wars director and the British singing star are rumoured to be dating, but neither have yet spoken of a possible romance.
They did little to stop the speculation swirling as they were snapped together smiling last night.
Rita has been filming The Voice: Australia and refused to miss the chance of a glam night out watching some of her favourite queens on stage.
Taika reportedly split from his wife Chelsea Winstanley in 2018 after seven years of marriage, and the pair have also been seen locking lips as they hit the shops.
An onlooker said they were having a lot of fun on Saturday night – and seem to be getting closer and closer.
The source told The Sun: “Rita and Taika couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
“They were walking around like boyfriend and girlfriend and rarely a metre apart all night."
But Rita and Taika only have limited time together in Australia.
"Rita’s time in Oz is limited and he has projects overseas, so they’ll head in opposite directions soon,” the spy added.
Last week, they all but confirmed they are an item.
The singer, 30, took to her Instagram account to upload a photo of herself cuddling the exec, who also directed cute but emotional war film Jojo Rabbit.
The 45-year-old cuddled Rita in the snap as they both wore matching Gucci jackets.
"Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love.." Rita captioned the photo.
She added the hashtag #midweekupdate.
Fans meanwhile believe Rita may have a cameo role in the next Thor film.
