
She is the outgoing finance secretary for Student Organisation of Maseno University. She has proved that leadership knows no gender. Inspired by her parents, the self-confessed feminist and Limuru Girls’ alumnus is a final year Actuarial Science student.

Myra is the ‘voice of female empowerment’ in Maseno University. She is a radio host, artisan, events planner and entrepreneur. She is the ‘Myra of all trades’! Her most important job is serving as the head of radio at Maseno’s Equator FM.

She is a founder member of Female Students’ Association of Maseno University (Fesamu). The club’s aim is to encourage campus girls to realise their potential and role in development. The Actuarial Science finalist draws her inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi.

Caren is a pioneer of the ‘Star Sisters’ series of inspirational talks that seeks to link campus girls with female mentors from different fields. She is currently in her final year pursuing an English Literature degree.

Through her fan page www.facebook.com/gorgeousme, Daisy offers helpful insights towards grooming, an effort that could go a long way in helping young women in universities get it right when it comes to dressing themselves. She is a final-year marketing student.

Anne is former Miss Maseno and arguably one of the most prolific models in Kenya. Since the time she took part in the Yu telecom advert, she has literally worked her way up the modelling industry. She is currently a final year Bachelor of Science in Horticulture student.

While Stella may already have wound up her international relations and diplomacy studies awaiting graduation later this year, she remains a strong face in the university where she served as the organising secretary for the Student Organisation of Maseno University (Somu).

The fourth year Media student has her eyes trained on leadership at higher levels. In August, she attended the fifth African Youth and Governance Conference in Accra, Ghana.

Fresh from the Miss Kenya 2013 boot camp, where she emerged first runners-up, the second year International Relations and Diplomacy student still carries the same grace, only that this time it is at national level. She is the reigning Miss Maseno.

Grace is a fourth year student of international relations and diplomacy. She is a performing and published poet with two Kenyan Poetry Anthologies, ‘Fresh Paint’ and ‘The Power of Words’, featuring some of her poems. She is also the founder of ‘Spoken Heart’, a contemporary urban group in Maseno that provides poets, authors, visual artists, and singers with a forum to showcase and grow their talents.
