Kanze Dena in tears as former colleagues bid her goodbye

Kanze Dena couldn't hold back the tears

It was a bitter-sweet moment for Kanze Dena On 10th June as she bid her fans goodbye on her last day at Citizen TV.

Her exit from Royal Media Services came after she was appointed deputy State House spokesperson and deputy head, PSCU last week.

Ms Dena will take leadership of the communication teams focusing on the President’s brand positioning, media relations and messaging in regard to the delivery of the Big Four agenda.

With over 15 years of experience in the media field, Kanze started her career at KBC before moving to Citizen TV where she worked as a director and news anchor.

Counting down her last minutes on TV, the mother of one and her co-host Lulu Hassan broke into tears as she encouraged her fans to stay faithful in whatever they do and they will see blessings come their way.

As she left, the Swahili news anchor got to share a cake with her colleagues and Mercy Masika who was present amidst tears of joy and sadness.
