A Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) pastor has asked married couples, people in serious relationships and Christians to stop using condoms since it “is one of the reason men perform poorly in bed. It is also the leading cause of many sexually transmitted diseases,” SDA pastor Isaack Edward Rotich  told The Nairobian, adding “the rubber is to blame for promiscuity in the community; randy people know they can sleep with even sick people using protection, assuming everything will be fine.”

He added: “Condom prevents male sperm from leaving the organ in the required pressure since it hardly has an outlet, in the long run, accumulation of sperms in veins causes backache or even impotence. Moreover, women do not enjoy anything during intercourse, it’s a raw deal” The pastor however said he advocates for healthy relationships and that partners ought to be faithful.

However, ‘King of Condom,’ Stanley Ngara insists that condom are not only safe for protection against STDs, but also add ‘flavour’ during sexual intercourse, and charging that they cause impotence in men and other unsubstantiated diseases is not real.
