Armed robbers broke into Tanzanian singer, Ali Kiba’s house Sunday morning and made away with his belonging, says Bongo5.com.
Ali Kiba’s younger brother, Abdu Kiba, says the robbers were more than 15, and that they broke into Ali Kiba’s home in Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam.
Abdu who was not home at the time of the incident said Ali Kiba called him seeking for help.
Upon receiving the call, Abdu decided to make his way home, and luckily came across a police patrol car. He gave them details of the attack, and rode home with them.
Abdu further says the robbers were armed with different crude weapons including knives and pangas. They broke the doors of the house and made their way in, stealing household belonging of unknown value.
He says the robbers attacked his siblings and wounded them.
Abdu further reveals, the robbers beat and tortured the gateman asking him to guide them to Ali Kiba’s room.
Fortunately the Tanzanian singer wasn’t in his room at the time; was in another one within the house.
The robbers made away with Sh96,000 (Tsh2 million).
Photographs taken after the attack show the extent of damage that was inflicted by the robbers.
Abdu Kiba took to Instagram and posted photos of the house, with caption: Tunamshkuru Mungu, tupo salama, (We thank God we are safe.)”
