9 people test positive for Covid-19 as 14 recover

9 people, from a sample size of 4,020, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 323,281 and the positivity rate at 0.2%. The cumulative tests conducted so far are 3,470,975. 

Seven of the people who tested positive are Kenyans while two are Kenyans. The youngest is a 22-year-old while the oldest is 57 years.

The cases have been distributed in Counties as follows; Mombasa 4, Nakuru 2, Kisumu, Laikipia and Nairobi 1 case each. 

Today, 14 patients have recovered from the disease, and all are from the the Home-Based and Isolation Care. This pushes the total number of recoveries to 317,581.

No death has been reported, therefore, the cumulative fatalities remains at 5,647.

A total of 19 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 127 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

One patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is on ventilatory support.

Another four patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

As of Monday, March 19, a total of 17,327,143 vaccines had been administered across the country. 7,958,937 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,932,715.
