A 30 year old man in Bomet is a subject of a police hunt after he hacked his father to death on Saturday over a family feud.

According to neighbors, the man picked up a quarrel with his father after he denied him permission to sell part of family land in order to buy a motorcycle which he intended to start a boda boda business.

The man who hails from Leldaet village in Bomet Central constituency hacked his father with a panga before fleeing home and police have started a man hunt according to Bomet OCPD Mr. Abel Sande who confirmed the incident.

“The man has been in constant fights with his father. He immediately fled after the incident and police are now looking for him to answer for the incident which has shocked Leldaet village.” A resident of the area who declined to be named for his safety said.
