Nairobi, Kenya: A university student was charged in court over a Facebook posting linking former Kilome MP Harun Mwau to the helicopter crash that killed former Internal Security minister George Saitoti.
Stephen Muriuki Wainuku appeared before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Kiarie Waweru Kiarie and denied committing the offence.
He was charged that on May 12, he posted the message on Mwau’s Facebook page, accusing him of being a drug dealer and responsible for the death of Saitoti, his assistant Orwa Ojode and four others.
The accused was released on cash bail of Sh 80,000. Mwau is the complainant in the case.
The Facebook message read in court stated: “You drug lord, and God will punish you for what you did. You think you can kill people. You killed Saitoti, Ojode and four innocent lives. May you rot in hell.”

On June 10, 2012, a police helicopter crashed in the southern town of Ngong, which was carrying Saitoti and his deputy, Orwa Ojode, along with two pilots and two bodyguards.
