Defending champions Gor Mahia continued with their goal scoring spree in the 2024-2025 FKF Premier League after thrashing Posta Rangers 3-0 at Machakos Stadium on Saturday.

Gor who begun their campaign two weeks ago following their CAF Champions League preliminary round assignments kicked off their title defense with a statement 4-0 win over Mathare United last month.

Bryson Wangai gave Gor the lead in the 15th minute after a powerful shot from outside the box beat a helpless Bixente in goal for Rangers.

Harambee Stars midfielder Austin Odhiambo repeat the same trick 20 minutes later after giving Gor a comfortable 2-0 lead in the 38th minute with another shot outside the box.

In the final half, Congolese international Gedeon Bendeka came off the bench to round off the scores for K’Ogalo after converting a cross from Paul Ochuoga.

The win pushes Gor to sixth with six points and with a massive three games in hand.

On the other hand, KCB opened a three-point lead at the top of the FKF Premier League standings after a second half masterclass saw the 10-man bankers come from 1-0 down at the break to win 4-1 against Kakamega Homeboyz at St. Sebastian Park.

Moses Shumah gave the visitors an early seventh minute lead, a 1-0 advantage Homeboyz carried to half time.

However, the bankers who had not yet conceded any goal until Shumah’s strike came from the changing rooms more aggressive and would be rewarded 10 minutes after the restart when James Kinyanjui restored parity with a 56th minute goal for 1-1.

Kinyanjui turned from goal scorer to provider in the 68th minute as his corner was met by Maurice Ojwang, who rose the highest to give KCB a 2-1 lead.

Ten minutes later, Faraj Ominde struck home the third goal for KCB with Kinyanjui claiming another assist.

Vincent Ondabu put the icing on KCB's cake with the fourth goal, and his first since joining the club, in the 84th minute.

KCB were however reduced to 10 men after Faraj Ominde was handed his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
