Trinity Starlets continued their impressive start to the 2024-2025 FKF Women’s Premier League season by moving two points clear at the top of the table, following a 2-0 victory over Wadaida FC on Saturday.
Goals from Jacklyn Chesang and Isichi Euphrasia secured the win for the Rift Valley outfit, making them the only team with a perfect record after three matches.
The victory sees Trinity Starlets sitting comfortably at the top of the league with nine points, having maintained a 100 percent winning start to the season.
Chesang and Euphrasia were instrumental in their side’s dominance, ensuring they remain unbeaten as they chase their first league title.
Meanwhile, defending champions Kenya Police Bullets dropped crucial points in their title defense after being held to a 0-0 draw by Ulinzi Starlets at the Police Sacco Stadium. The draw leaves Bullets tied in second place on seven points, two behind Trinity Starlets.

Despite the draw, the champions remain unbeaten, but their inability to break down a resilient Ulinzi side will raise concerns for head coach Samuel Kitavi as they look to retain their crown.
Former champions Vihiga Queens also maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a commanding 3-0 win over Mombasa Olympic at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Diana Cherono was the star of the match, netting twice for the five-time champions, while Claudia Kadenge added a third to seal the victory for head coach Boniface Nyamunyamu.
The win lifts Vihiga Queens to joint second place alongside Kenya Police Bullets, both with seven points from three matches.
Vihiga’s campaign began with a narrow 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Starlets before being held to a goalless draw by Zetech Sparks. Saturday's triumph over Olympic further solidified their status as one of the league’s most formidable teams, as they seek to reclaim the title.
Elsewhere, Bungoma Queens finally got their season on track with a resounding 5-1 win over Kisumu All Starlets at Bungoma Polytechnic Grounds.
Despite going behind to a first-half goal from Cynthia Otieno, Bungoma stormed back in the second half to score five unanswered goals.
Catherine Khaemba and Khaemba Carolyne each netted a brace, while Timona Zareti added another to complete the rout, giving Bungoma their first win of the season.
The victory will be a morale booster for Bungoma, who had struggled in their opening matches.
The FKF Women’s Premier League action continues on Sunday, with two exciting fixtures lined up. Bunyore Starlets will host Kibera Soccer Women at Mumboha Grounds in Luanda, while Kisped Queens will take on Zetech Sparks at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Both matches promise to provide more thrilling football as teams continue to jostle for early-season positions in what is shaping up to be a fiercely competitive league.
With Trinity Starlets now setting the pace at the top of the table, the pressure is on for the chasing pack to keep up.
