Voi 'B' books ticket to Dola Super Cup Grand Finale

Voi 'B' is the latest side to book tickets to the much anticipated Dola Super Cup football showpiece Grand Finale set for Mombasa on Wednesday.

The Grand Finale, which has a Sh 1 Million prize money, will be contested by champions from each of the six coastal counties that won their editions.

Voi 'B' needed a second half solitary goal against Voi 'A' to emerge champions of the Taita Taveta County edition in a tight battle held at the historic Voi Stadium on Sunday.

The scintillating match, graced by Taita Taveta County Governor Andrew Mwadime, attracted a mammoth crowd from the county and its environs.

"This tournament is very crucial in that it is helping to unearth raw talents in coast, a strategy will be set up to help those already identified to link up with clubs at the local and international leagues," Dola Head of Marketing Sadam Suleiman said during the tournament.

His sentiments were echoed by Mombasa County Football Association Chairman Juma  Goshi who is so far impressed with the skills and techniques being displayed by the players in the grassroots competitions.

Hosts Mombasa will be represented by Likoni 1 FC at the Grand Finale while Kilifi South FC will be the Kilifi County representatives.

Hindi 'A' will ply trade for Lamu County as Msambweni '3' and Galole 'A' feature for Kwale and Tana River counties in that order.
