Nairobi's cements reputation as continent's abduction centre with Kizza Besigye saga

It seems the vision of making Kenya the abduction centre of the world is taking shape, with the kidnapping and extradition of Dr Kizza Besigye to Uganda. Here's the thing: Besigye who was the personal doctor for Uganda's life Prezzo Yoweri Kaguta M7, before they fell out over personal differences, was in Kenya to attend a book launch.

The man arrived safely in the green city in the sun, went to his hotel room for a bit of rest and some refreshing, before sauntering off to the book launch's venue. And since he was running ahead of schedule, he decided to see a buddy of his. Or so he thought...

But because Nairobi is an interesting place, Besigye's brief meeting with his assumed buddy turned into a night-and-day-and-night-and-day ordeal, for none of his friends and family could trace him. That is, until he surfaced at a Ugandan army facility, three days later.

Apparently, the Ugandan intelligence agents drove him overnight by road, wasting the old man's return air-ticket. I am certain he'd have arrived at their base on his own had they let him make his way there. After all, Besigye is based in Uganda, and they know where to find him.

So, we're getting there, cementing our reputation as a rogue State that determines which elements of the law to apply, when and how. In case you have forgotten, some Turkish dissidents under UN protection were recently abducted and ferreted out of the country and delivered to Ankara.
