Police launch manhunt for man who killed his mother's inheritor

Police in Migori County have launched a manhunt for a 23-year-old man alleged to have stabbed his mother's inheritor or a step father.
According to police reports, the man is purported to have used a kitchen knife to stab the 39-year-old inheritor severely.

Preliminary reports indicated that he was angered by the inheritor's plan to permanently move to their home after being with their mother for 10 years.

Muhuru Deputy County Commissioner Festus Kimeu said they have launched a manhunt for the man who has since gone into hiding.
"We are looking for the man who fled the scene. Investigations are ongoing to establish the main motive behind the murder," Mr. Kimeu said.
According to Kimeu, the man's mother is in custody and is aiding in investigations.

The suspect is said to have stabbed his mother's inheritor at their compound at Obolo village in Muhuru Bay, Nyatike Constituency, Migori County.
The inheritor is said to have died while being rushed to hospital.
His body was taken to Migori County Referral Hospital's mortuary, awaiting autops
