President William Ruto is set to address the nation from State House, Nairobi at 2.00 pm today.
It was however not immediately clear what the president’s agenda is, in an invitation to newsrooms on Thursday.
Last week on Friday, Ruto said that he would soon make crucial changes in his government, in response to demands made by youths during the anti-government protests. These changes have yet to be made public.
Speculation is rife on social media as Kenyans wait with bated breath on what he has in store today.

One anticipated move is a cabinet reshuffle, which Ruto has yet to act on. Young protesters have been demanding an overhaul of the Cabinet.
It is also Ruto’s fifth State of the Nation and public address in just three weeks since the anti-tax and anti-government protests have rocked Kenya.
Last week after announcing radical changes and austerity measures within the government, he engaged the youths in an X space for close to three hours, setting the record straight on the wave of abductions and killings witnessed during the protests.
This is a developing story and will be updated when the Head of State speaks.
