Security around Parliament has been heightened ahead of the much anticipated budget reading by Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u this afternoon.
Ndung'u will make way to Parliament Building in Nairobi at exactly 2.30pm.

The Treasury CS is expected to read the inaugural budget for the financial year 2023/2024 under President William Ruto's administration.
At around 1pm, a photo session will be conducted at CS Njuguna's office before he proceeds to the National Treasury Building for more photos.
At 2:15pm, he will proceed to Parliament buildings, he will be received by leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, before delivering the 2023/2024 budget.
By 2.00pm, Members of Parliament will be settled in the chambers ahead of the reading.
Kenyans are waiting with bated breath to see what allocations will go where and if the government wil cushion them from the harsh economic times.
