“To our Gen Z`s we celebrate you today, you are fearless, tribe less and leaderless but your thoughts have inspired all of us in this country and beyond, this country will never be the same,” he said.
The Wiper leader who was accompanied by of Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu, and other Ukambani legislators, said that he was opposed to the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
He said it would have been fair if Gachagua was given a chance to be heard.
Kalonzo emphasized that it is against the law of the land to judge and condemn someone unheard.
Kioni said that Kalonzo is the only politician who can send President Ruto home come 2027.
“We are relying on Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to send Ruto home and trust me he will, because we have learnt a lot from Raila Odinga as far as politics is concerned,” he said.
He said that the decision by the Azimio leader Raila Odinga to work with the Kenya Kwanza government has given Ruto the leeway to go against the Constitution because he knows there is no strong opposition to keep him on toes.
Waititu apologised for supporting the UDA in 2022 General Election, saying they made many promises to Kenyans which have not been fulfilled yet.
He said Mount Kenya region will support Kalonzo's presidential bid come 2027.
Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua castigated President Ruto for orchestrating the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
