Traffic on Mombasa Road near the Syokimau Railway Station will be disrupted for nearly one month.
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has said that movement will be affected on the Nairobi-bound lanes.
The temporary disruption will begin from Friday, September 20, to Tuesday, October 22, to allow road realignment.
"This is to allow for realignment of the road and construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation at the median between the Nairobi bound lanes and the adjacent Nairobi Expressway fence," said KeNHA.
Motorists have been advised to follow the traffic plan provided by traffic police officers and road marshals or use alternative routes.
