It's all systems go for the roll-out of the Universal Health Care Program.
The UHC is set to launch, with government officials being called upon to raise public awareness.
During a joint meeting between the Ministries of Health and Interior, Principal Secretary for Interior Raymond Omollo urged National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) to actively disseminate information about the program to ensure its success.
"You are required to utilise various channels to effectively educate and register citizens," said Omollo.
He noted the importance of addressing any emerging issues related to the program and ensuring that no citizen is extorted for services.

The PS also called on the officers to fully support the initiative, stressing that it is crucial for achieving the desired outcomes
"Disinformation and misinformation are significant challenges. Through this sensitization, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to counter and manage these issues, as well as to provide accurate information to the public," he added.
Omollo also highlighted the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on good health and well-being, asserting the importance of collaboration between health officials and NGAOs for the program's success.
"This SDG aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. Health is also a key pillar of the Kenya Kwanza agenda," he said.
The Interior PS further called for coordinated efforts to mobilise communities for mass registration ahead of the scheduled roll-out of the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) on October 1.
