13-year-old Shay stunned an estimated 214 golfers to clinch the overall top spot the DHL Express tournament at the Nyali Golf and Country Club course on Saturday.
Playing off handicap 17 Chauhan scored 40 stableford points for victory.
"It's an honour to win today and thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey to get here and always believing in me, even when I doubted myself. This win is for all of us," said Chauhan.
Home club's Charles Kariuki playing off handicap 5 was the men gross winner after recording a six over par 77 gross count back and the same prize for women was claimed by Golf Park Club's handicap 5 Margaret Njoki with a seven over par 78 gross count back.
Handicap 14 Justine Ongere emerged the men winner with 39 points, beating club mate handicap 25 Swaleh Omar to the runners up slot by a point.

Caroline Munyi playing off handicap 24 commanded the ladies by winning the top prize on 39 points and handicap 27 Janet Wasike brought 38 points to claim the runners up slot.
Elsewhere, handicap 19 Peter Nuthu recorded 37 points to emerge the overall winner in the Swing and Wine tournament played at the Ruiru Sports Club course on the same day.
Patrick Kimanga playing off handicap 15 was the men winner on a count back score of 35 points after tying on the same score with runners up placed handicap 15 John Baptista.
The lady winner on 35 points was handicap 29 Beth Ngugi and handicap 35 Esther Kimani claimed the runners up a single point behind.
Peris Mwangi won the guest winner's prize.
