Lee Njiru: Being Kenya's President is hectic; Uhuru knew the remedy, Ruto doesn't use it

Former State House Press Secretary Lee Njiru on Wednesday said he would not want to be Kenya's President even if the opportunity was presented to him for free.
Speaking on Citizen TV, Njiru said Kenya has so many problems and attempting to solve all of them at once is impossible.
He added that the President has only 12 hours of daylight to address those issues but the country's problems are unending.
"Even if you tell me to be the President today, I'll not take it. I do not even know how my friend Ruto sleeps.
"I think he is having sleepless nights. Kenyan problems are 24 hours. Uhuru knew the medicine and Ruto does not take that medicine," he said, bursting into laughter.

He also spoke of the recent Gen Z-led demos saying the problem is not over yet and that there will be another 'storm'.
"I sympathize with the current administration; they have a big problem. The Gen Z problem is not over yet, it is just a lull before another storm," he said.
Raila is lucky
Njiru, who served former Presidents Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel Arap Moi, also said Raila Odinga is lucky he has never been elected Head of State because he would not be as popular.
He argued that Kenya's problems are too big for anyone and attempting to fix all of them would be disastrous.
"Raila is lucky because he has never been elected President. If he is elected President, he will be very unpopular because nobody can handle the monumental problems Kenyans have.
"I would advise him to pretend that he wants to be President but at the back of his mind he shouldn't," said Njiru.
He also opined on the recently formed broad-based government and Raila's input on the same saying the Azimio leader often brings disorganisation to suit his interests.
"I have been watching Raila for a long time. Wherever Raila enters, however organized it is, he has to disorganize and reorganize it to suit his own interests. He did it during the time of Moi, Kibaki, Uhuru and he has done it once more. Raila and his people need to eat, he has confessed that that is his objective," he said.
