Leaders Kanbis B clash with Ngara A in Division One battlefront

The tussle for Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) 50-Overs Division One title is already taking shape with top contenders Kanbis B, Obuya Academy A and Ngara A going for the jugular at various venues.
Kanbis B hope to maintain their unbeaten run in the competition after eight matches against third placed Ngara A at Ngara Sports Club.
Should Ngara manage to decimate the high-flying Kanbis outfit, then they’ll have achieved the 30 -point mark which will place them in a better position for the title.
Ngara A had a go at the elite Super League before being relegated to the second tier Division One.

Likewise, Obuya A, led by legend Collins Obuya have also tasted top flight action and are determined to get their Super League ticket.
Obuya A will be away to Sikh Union B at the Sikh Union Nairobi ground where they start favorites.
Kanbis beat Goan Institute by 5 wickets last weekend and will be hoping for the same against Ngara.
Leading Kanbis B in the crucial battle are openers Hiren Kabariya and Kaushal Mepani. Other players expected to start for Kanbis B are Jignesh Kerai and skipper Rakesh Hirani. This is a match Kanbis B cannot afford to lose considering their highflying status so far in the competition.
Star Players for Ngara A are Rajiv Sutaria, Nikul Patel and namesake Mehul Patel. The trio have been in red hot form over the past few games that have contributed tremendously towards the team’s wins.
Rajiv Sutaria is Ngara A’s captain who’s at the moment in fine form as the third leading run scorer having amassed a total of 274runs at an average of 34.25 and taken 11 wickets with an economy of 4.68.
Meanwhile, Division Two also promises fireworks with leaders Ngara B maintaining their dogged campaign in search of the coveted title.
Ngara B will be away to Obuya B at Lenana while second placed Stray Lions C plays Swamibapa Development at Impala grounds. GI Unicorns B will host Kongonis B at Goan institute Nairobi.
