Not so Sure: Concerns as Pharmacy Board recalls batch of Sure condoms

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) in Kenya issued a recall of the Sure condom brand after it was found to be substandard.
According to a statement by the board, they decided to recall Sure lubricated condoms dotted Batch No 2405055.
The recall followed concerns that the product samples did not comply with the specifications for the freedom from holes (conductivity) test performed.
The PPB advised pharmaceutical outlets, healthcare facilities and members of the public to stop using the product immediately and to return any affected stock to the point of purchase. The product is manufactured by Indus Medicare Private Limited.
