Mary Moraa, the reigning world champion and Olympic bronze medallist, delivered yet another tactical masterclass on Friday night to claim the 800m Diamond League Trophy at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

Moraa posted a season-best time of 1:56.56 to outpace Great Britain's Georgia Bell, who clocked 1:57.50, with Natoya Goule-Toppin of Jamaica finishing third in 1:58.94.

The Kenyan star executed her signature hard kick in the final 100 meters, overtaking Bell to reclaim the title and cap off a dominant season on the Diamond League circuit.

Moraa has competed in four Diamond League meets this season, winning three—Doha, Lausanne, and Zurich—with her only defeat being a second-place finish.

This victory solidifies Moraa's status as the queen of the 800m, adding the Diamond League title to her growing list of accolades, which also includes the 600m world record she set two weeks ago at the ISTAF Berlin meet, clocking 1:21.63.

In addition to the prestigious Diamond Trophy, Moraa will receive a substantial prize of Sh3.87 million.

Second-place finisher Bell will earn Sh1.55 million, while third-placed Goule-Toppin takes home Sh903,000.
