The next time you’re peeling these fruits and vegetables, don’t toss the peels in the trash. They have a lot of wonderful properties that your skin will love. Here’s how to put them into good use.
1. Banana peels
These taste delicious in fruit salad and smoothies. The peels have a lot to offer as well. They’re good for toning and they help heal scarring after breakouts. The peels can also be used as an exfoliator when mixed with lemon juice. Massage the peels directly on your skin for a few minutes before rinsing off.
2. Cucumber peels
This fruit, generally eaten as a vegetable, is a skin care staple all over the world. It’s a go-to remedy for eye puffiness and dark circles and its peels are also great for skin care. They’re packed with vitamin A and many other properties that prevent signs of aging, blemishes and dryness.
3. Lemons
The juice has been used for skin care for a long time not to mention that the peels are packed with toning properties as well. It also prevents skin infections because of its antibacterial properties.
4. Potato peel
Don’t throw the peels away because they are good for acne treatment. They contain vitamin c which soothes and heals the scarring after a breakout. Rub the juice all over your face and let it sit for a few minutes then rinse off.

Papaya has a lot of skin care benefits that you didn’t know about. The peels are usually very light and it’s hard to imagine what properties they could possibly have as far as beauty is concerned. Surprisingly, pawpaw peel is great at regenerating cells. It clears out the dead cells and gives room for new cell formation. They’re great for your stew, your salads and your skin. Tomato peels contain antioxidants which is good for younger looking skin. It also tones your skin and reduces any signs of discoloration. Massage the peels after washing your face, let it stay on for a few minutes then rinse.

8. Sweet potato peels
These are a good solution when your skin is inflamed. It’s a natural anti-inflammatory that eases sun tan irritation, puffiness around the eyes as well as dark circles.
9. Carrots
These peels could even be better than the actual vegetable when it comes to beauty benefits. They brighten your skin and reduce wrinkling. Blend the peels with a little water so that it turns into a paste. Apply the paste as a mask for a few minutes and rinse off.
