Using natural products in your skin care routine will always give you good results without having to spend an arm and a leg. Organic is better because they’re mild on the skin and you can find something for every skin type.

One of the best sources of vitamins for skin care is fruits and vegetables. Eating them gives you some benefits but a lot of the nutrients are found in the peels too.

The next time you’re peeling these fruits and vegetables, don’t toss the peels  in the trash. They have a lot of wonderful properties that your skin will love. Here’s how to put them into good use.

1. Banana peels

These taste delicious in fruit salad and smoothies. The peels have a lot to offer as well. They’re good for toning and they help heal scarring after breakouts. The peels can also be used as an exfoliator when mixed with lemon juice. Massage the peels directly on your skin for a few minutes before rinsing off.
