Nakuru, Kenya - Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has dismissed a report by a committee formed by Jubilee Coalition to investigate wrangles at the Nakuru County Assembly.

The MP termed as irrelevant and misplaced recommendations by the committee that he reconciles with Speaker Susan Kihika following last month's fracas at the assembly.

"The team was asked to probe chaos in Nakuru County Assembly. But it has now sucked me into this disgraceful saga by making unsubstantiated insinuations. Am I part of the county assembly?" asked the MP.

In the report, the MP's frosty relationship with the Speaker was cited as one of the causes of fracas, where MCAs exchanged kicks and blows inside the assembly.

Ngunjiri accused the TNA and URP inter-party team of failing to use documented evidence to come up with a credible report.

The report, which was released at TNA headquarters last week, also recommended that Jubilee affiliate parties hold new elections for Majority Leader in the assembly.

According to the findings, MCAs Ngware Nganga, Leah Serem, Florence Njoroge, Stephen Kihara and Francis Njoroge should appear before their respective party disciplinary committees, three others received warnings.
